We are praised

In the latest edition of Fishing News we reported on the Multiannual Programme for Collection of Fisheries Data realized by the NMFRI. At the end of June the Group of Experts of the EU Scientific, Technical and Economic Committee for Fisheries (STECF) assessed the completeness and quality of implementation of the Program by all Member States of the Union. The rating of the Expert Group was approved at the meeting of the Plenary Committee at the beginning of July. Today we can be therefore proud that both in terms of quality, completeness and timeliness – along with colleagues from Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands – we obtained the highest grade which is demonstrated in the following table:

In addition, the assessment for the past years is similar, which is confirmed in the extensive table below. This is undoubtedly the success not only of the NMFRI, but also thanks to good cooperation with fishermen and processors, Fisheries Monitoring Centre and the Department of Fisheries battling every year to provide adequate funds for the implementation of the program.
