Abstract.
The description of a data processing algorithm for providing temperature,
salinity and density profiles from CTD-probe measurement codes is presented.
Possible errors and techniques of their reduction are considered on the
example of data measured in the Baltic Sea. Most frequent error readings
appeared to be connected with features of conductivity cell operation in
the near-surface and near-bottom layers. In this paper the sequence of
data processing steps is presented and recommended to reduce errors in
the resulting data of fine structure thermohaline fields.
