Change in position of Deputy Director for Financial Matters at NMFRI

As of 1 January 2025, there was a change in the position of the Deputy Director for Financial Matters of the National Marine Fisheries Research Institute in Gdynia.

After 23 years of working at NMFRI, Mr Rafał Geremek has ended his cooperation with the Institute to take up the position of Vice-President of the City of Gdynia. We would like to thank him for his long-standing contribution to the development of our Institute and wish him success in his new challenges.

By decision of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development – Mr Czesław Siekierski, Ms Bogumiła Kudaszewicz was appointed Deputy Director for Financial Matters:

“Acting pursuant to Article 27(1) of the Act of 30 April 2010 on research institutes (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 534), I appoint you as Deputy Director for Financial Matters of the National Marine Fisheries Research Institute in Gdynia as of 1 January 2025.”

Ms Bogumiła Kudaszewicz has been with NMFRI since 1983. Her professional path at the Institute includes:

  • 07.1983: employment in the Administration and Transport Department,
  • 09.1993: transfer to the Finance and Accounting Department,
  • 04.2006: taking up the post of Head of the Earnings Calculation Section,
  • 06.2013: promotion to Head of the Finance and Accounting Department.

Ms Bogumila has extensive training and experience in finance and accounting:

  • Master’s degree in management in finance and banking (University of Gdańsk, 2007),
  • Postgraduate studies in accounting and finance (University of Gdańsk, 2009),
  • Accounting certificate issued by the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Poland (2010),
  • Numerous specialised courses on topics such as accounting for research institutes, accounting for subsidies from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, as well as closing the accounts at research institutes.

Privately, Bogumiła is passionate about handicrafts – she can conjure up miracles on knit or crochet, loves spending time in her garden, and is renowned for her excellent cooking skills. She is an active social activist, taking part in numerous campaigns for the benefit of those in need, such as “Octopuses for premature babies” – equipping the neonatal wards with crochet octopuses, “Project HEART FROM THE HEART” – sewing pillows for patients in the hospital – sewing pillows for post-mastectomy patients, and #czapkawkryzysie# – knitting hats for people in homelessness crisis.
