Szymon Smolinski is an employee of the NMFRI Fisheries Resources Department. His research interests include the use of otoliths as ecological indicators, determining factors affecting the growth and dynamics of fish populations, spatial modeling of their distribution, and studying the impact of climate change on these organisms.
Scholarships for outstanding young scientists are awarded for significant achievements in scientific activity, including scientific publications, innovative research and foreign internships. In this year’s competition, 228 young scientists, representing 53 scientific and artistic disciplines, received scholarships.
