In 2023, the NMFRI completed the implementation of the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture project carried out jointly with the Koszalin University of Technology, entitled ” Development of a programme for using modern, complex carp processing technologies in aquaculture farms and fish processing plants. Guide”. As part of the project, four innovative table-top devices for processing carp and other cyprinids were developed and manufactured: a de-heading machine, a ringing machine, a de-necking machine and a device for cutting fresh and frozen fillets into strips. The latter device was presented at the International Invention Show IPITEx 2024, held in Bangkok from February 02-06, and won a silver medal and a special prize, awarded by WIIPA (World Invention Intellectual Property Associations).
