29th National Bentology Workshop
On June 25-28, 2025, the 29th National Bentology Workshop took place. The meeting was hosted by the Center for Environmental Education and Lake Revitalization in Szczecinek, while NMFRI was a co-organizer.
The theme of this year’s workshop was: Quantitative methods of benthos research. Strategy for planning, collecting, and processing samples. The meeting consisted of two days of intensive work, including, as usual:
- presentation sessions, during which seven original studies were presented,
- a poster session with nine posters, preceded by a two-minute introduction by the authors.
The workshop part consisted of:
- four methodological presentations,
- field classes – sampling from a nearby lake,
- sorting samples in the laboratory and analysis of the results obtained in the field (group exercises).
The conference was attended by 45 people from various research centers in Poland. Despite the mixed weather, the workshops were very successful.
