During the POLFISH International Fair of Fish and Food Products held September 11-13, our Institute displayed an innovative device for cutting fresh and frozen fillets into strips, whose main designer is Dr.Eng. Mariusz Kosmowski. The device was developed as part of the ARMA-funded project “Technology of mechanical processing of carp in aquaculture farms and fish processing plants. Handbook”, carried out jointly with Koszalin University of Technology. For the device entered in the Mercurius Gedanensis competition in the technology category, the National Marine Fisheries Research Institute and Koszalin University of Technology received the GRAND PRIX MERCURIUS GEDANENSIS POLFISH 2024 award.
It is worth mentioning that this is a consecutive success of the NMFRI at POLFISH. In previous editions, our Institute received 3 Mercurius Gedanensis medals, 4 Grand Prix medals and 2 cups from the Minister supervising NMFRI.
