Operation and Administration Department

About the Department

The main tasks performed at the Department include:

  • planning, preparation and implementation of investment tasks and repair works for the NMFRI facilities and vessels;
  • conducting investor and repair supervision, as well as performing settlements of performed tasks;
  • administration of the Institute’s objects, their rational use of and proper protection, maintenance of cleanliness in the premises, protection of property and persons, monitoring the security of the facility, maintenance of fire safety, maintenance and ongoing repairs of office spaces and technical equipment of the Institute;
  • realization of purchases based on the submitted requirements of other organizational units of the Institute;
  • supervising the technical and operational readiness of the R/V Baltica and other Institute’s vessels;
  • maintaining proper operation of facilities and technical base of the Institute;
  • rental of office space, including conference rooms that constitute the Institute’s resources.
